Meet Mike

Mike is a Columbus-ite born and raised. Went to Upper Arlington High School where he was a choir nerd and a show choir tenor (think Glee). He followed in his family’s footsteps and went to The Ohio State University where he was a Pre-Medical Biology major for 3 years. It was during his part time job as a Sound Designer on the Upper Arlington High School main stage that he realized his calling wasn’t in Medicine. He moved to the Theater department to pursue a degree in Sound Design, after designing and mixing two musicals for UA Schools.

After graduating he flirted with being a car salesman, flexed his muscles as a customer service representative in the fitness industry, counted cash as a teller in a local bank, but eventually landed a job at Abercrombie & Fitch. During his tenure at A&F he helped to shape the future of store design for the company while falling in love with product design. He decided that a Graduate Degree was the best way for him to pursue his newfound passion.

During the summer of 2019 he completed a UX Design Internship at Epic Systems (a medical software company) before graduating with a Master of Arts in Visual Communication Design in December of 2019. He currently is working at Cigna helping to craft experiences for the provider website.

On weekends he can be found trying new restaurants and bars with friends, at a drag show, yelling at his TV during a particularly difficult level of Wolfenstein, or off exploring a new city. Other passions of his include technology, fashion, food, and writing.
